S&B wadcutters keyholing out of snubbie

Folks:

I bought some S&B 148 grain wadcutters at Cabela's in Wheeling, W. Va., over the holiday while driving by to Ohio.

Shot 10 rounds of them yesterday at a local indoor range and every one of them hit the target sideways, tearing a nearly horizontal rip through it. Each rip was about 6 inches long and about half an inch wide. At that was at 7 yards! (Target was a Wall Street zombie, if you must know).

Previosuly, I have shot 125 grain cowboy action loads, 148 grain WC commercial reloads, 158 grain RN factory, and 158 RNFP commercial reloads through this gun, which is Colt Cobra with a 2-inch barrel. No problems. It especially groups well with the 148 grain WC commerical reloads that I got from a local dealer. The 125's shoot lower, but group nicely enough.

I did not have a .38 with a longer barrel with me or else I would have shot some more to see if the slugs stabilize through a 4-incher or a 6-incher.

In fact, that is what I intend to do the next time I visit the range -- take longer-barrel pistolas with me and see what happens.

This ever happen to anyone else with S&B ammo?
