I like the ACOG also - but I admit they are expensive.
To my eye, they seem more "industrial" than the Aimpoints; however, that may not be all that important unless you are dragging them through the rocks in Afghanistan.
My only problem with ACOGs is that I need several more and my wallet whines everytime I look...
