Well, at least with the .348 and the .500 Linebaugh (reply)

you can do double duty when you buy brass. I'm sitting on a good bit of .348 brass from my Winchester 71 days (for which I blame Jim Taylor's articles). Haven't had a 71 in a good while, but then I wound up with a .500 Linebaugh, so I kept the brass. Then I sold said .500 because of my tendonitis, so I thought of selling the brass. Then I wound up with a .50 Special, and was glad I kept the brass. Then I found a guy with 400 pieces of .50 Special brass, and thought of selling the .348 brass. I figure if I dally long enough, I just might walk up on a deal on another Model 71....

Also have a custom bullet mold I bought for my 71, but sold before the very LONG group buy mold was delivered. :)

348 Winchester..I normally don't complain....

USRAC is cataloging Model 71's according to their website. I clicked over to the ammo section and guess what? No 348!

I know another reload proposition. It would be nice to be able to buy off the shelf stuff without a second mortgage.

For some reason I'm drawn to 'weirdness", 500 Linebaugh, 348 Winchester, 405 Winchester.
