Rob, I've got one in an old Bianchi 9R that I carry on really bad days. Luckily, I've recovered, just wish I knew what I did to screw my back up in the first place.

Thank you for the suggestion. (reply)

But I am too set in my ways. I do not care for striker-fired pistols nor polymer framed ones.

Please understand that I am expressing my own personal preferences and I am not saying my preferences are THE BEST or THE ONLY WAY or even the way others should go. I believe every shooter should use what fits them best and what they are comfortable with. The gun world would be very boring if we all had only the same kind.

Steve, suspenders help! (reply)

I discovered that using a very high quality gun belt along with a good pair of suspenders allowed me to tote a 1911 or a High Power, with spare mags for either one. For a fellow who ruptured L4 and L5 many years ago, either pistol was a nightmare without the suspenders.

Even a Glock 19 with spare mags, which is considerably lighter than those pistolas, becomes more comfortable. Truth be told, I gave all of them up for a Glock 48, which is bearable with just a good gun belt.

BTW, Jim T, compare the size of the Glock 48 to a Star BM, then consider the weight and the magazine capacity. I think you might be impressed. Made a believer out of me!

I used to take note of my writing and spelling (reply)

but it seems as I have gotten older I just don't see those things much anymore unless I wait about 24 hours. Since I haven't been drinking I don't really have anything else to blame it on. Though as I think on it, maybe reading all the assembly and use instructions in Chinglish have affected me.

In the eighties..... (reply)

then that was a clear case of editorial negligence of duty but today, what with auto correct/fill and drop-down menus with similarly spelled choices then the chances of typos are greatly increased.

At my work, a chemical salesman left us, as bribe/bait, a case of generic, chino manufactured cleaning aerosol spray cans. The labels were lacking warnings and msds disclosure info and were titled "genocide spray". The mandarin speaking author of that label was presumably a victim of the mouse and cursor and drop-down english menu where "genocide" and "germocide" were unfortunately one on top of the other.
