Jamin talks about it in the video....they wanted to buy the Remington plant but Vista Outdoors blocked it so they built their own plant.

…..that Palmetto purchased some/part/all of an ammunition plant from the Remington/Cerebus bankruptcy deal, along with some other assets. So this may not necessarily be a “virgin” manufacturing plant, it may have been incorporated from the ashes of an older company, at least in part.

Huge risk for them to invest over 9 figures and all the time needed to get it going. If you go to PSA's youtube channel they have multiple behind the scenes videos of their operations and different companies they own. Be interesting in a few years when they are running at full capacity if their competition lowers their pricing due to the pressure from PSA making so much ammo cheaper.
