Battered and scarred and dirty, but the stiching was still good and the leather was still firm and stiff. Couldn't even tell what it might fit, but for $3 I wasn't going to throw it back in the box.

Cleaned it last night with saddle soap and a soft brush, and discovered it was for a 2" K-frame Smith. Just happened to have one, so I stuck it in a Baggie and wet-molded the holster to it. This morning I worked the holster over with leather conditioner and Scuff Cover, followed by a light waxing and a horsehair brush. I'm wearing it right now, and it carries the little Model 10 perfectly. A real retro rig.

You just can't do that with nylon or Kydex.
