But I doubt we will be able to get down that way before the Jan 4 season close, or afford the non-resident license fees. There is a possibility we may be down prior to the Feb 28 close of small game seasons though.

I had six under my stand last Saturday, and they bedded down for about an hour! One county I hunt you can shoot 3 does a day. Plenty of tags. I don't need anymore, but I continue to hunt for club members who can't. Everyone around here wants meat.

I'd like to get a hat trick this year. I stuck two, shot one, now I'd like to get one with the muzzleloader.

Going back out tomorrow, gonna try and stick one with the longbow.

What's "Snow?" Oh, yeah, I remember.

My Dad and I have only seen three deer so far between us, all antlerless and we do not have permits for those. Still have two days left in the season so hope springs eternal but it has snowed or rained every day of the season so far, which has not been good for deer movement in our area.

"pointy stick" season ended 11/8. Stuck a small 5 point and a doe in October. The freezer's full and I have enough for the wife and I for the year now.
I have a muzzle loader permit for AEDC the 5,6, 7th. Those are considered "bonus" deer. My buddy and me are now hunting for the elderly members of our club who can't. I'll continue to hunt, for those who are unable.
