Cars depreciate, cigarettes kill you-slowly. Guns will outlast our grandchildren and keep our nation free if we pass on that heritage. I have a good friend who quite smoking years ago, put his cigarette money in the safe and once a year with the money bought a new Model 70 and scope, 100 pieces of brass to fireform to that rifle alone,dies, bullets and components, worked up a load, killed a deer or two and then retired it, and next year did the same. He has a very nice collection of Model 70's as well as several other firearms purchased from quitting the cancer sticks. Not to mention he's a lot healthier than he would be had he just kept smoking.

LIVED IN THE SAME HOUSE FOR 45 YEARS; NO MORTGAGE PAYMENTS. DRIVE A 1997 CHEVY 4X4 AND DIAMOND DOT HAS A 2000 DODGE CARAVAN. NO CAR PAYMENTS. PAY OFF CREDIT CARDS EVERY MONTH; NO INTEREST PAYMENTS. SUPPORT CHURCH AND CHARITIES AND IT ALWAYS SEEMS TO COME BACK TO ME.

HOW ANY SERIOUS SHOOTER HAS TO CHECK AND SEE IF THE CURRENT ISSUE OF ANY GUN MAGAZINE IS INTERESTING. HANDLOADER IS ESPECIALLY ALWAYS WORTH THE PRICE. I HAVE READ EVERY ISSUE SINCE THE FIRST ONE BACK IN THE MID-60s.JOINED NRA IN THE 1950s. THE SAME GOES FOR "GUNS", 1955; G&A, 1958, GUN WORLD 1960, ST, 1960s. AS A TEENAGER I USED MY PAPER ROUTE MONEY. WHEN I GOT MARRIED GUN MAGAZINES AUTOMATICALLY WENT ON THE GROCERY LIST.

Has anyone read the S&W Model 69 article by Brian Pearce in Handloader, December 2014? What is a Lymnan 429255GC bullet? Did I miss something or is this an old design? I haven't read Handloader in a few years but the cover really got my attention so I purchased the magazine. If I buy a 69, it will have been worth the $6.
Also, Brian Pearce makes referrence to Winchester 231 as "a good powder, but it is costly to produce...". I didn' know that. What makes it so?
