Checking in with a question about Southeast Texas (reply)

Corpus is a great town, I spend 6 years there.

A visit to the the King Ranch saddle shop is worth the trip, but everything is very expensive. A tour of the King Ranch Headquarters is also nice.

I am partial to Van's BBQ is Oakville about 65 miles north. Nothing fancy, just good Texas BBQ. For a good dinner in the evening The Yardarm on Ocean drive will make them happy.

There is a big aircraft carrier (Enterprise) there is corpus with tours, and the Aquarium is worth a visit.

Checking in with a question about Southeast Texas

My folks are spending about six weeks in the corpus cristi area in February and March. They will have their bike with them and dad says hundred mile trips are about their max without spending the night. Any suggestions from you Texas boys on places they should not kiss out on?

Thanks,
Doug K
