Have Wilson Sentinel with 3.6 inch barrel and has night sights...call Wilson Combat and ask them what they use...and to send along a pair....

I was afraid of that. I've checked Midway and Brownells and couldn't figure out any that would work.

I tried to get Night Sights for my Colt Defender....Yes it does take different size sights than a standard 5"....and I was unable to find any.

I will definitely discourage that. What I think he really needs is to paint the existing sights for now.

Shoot it LOTS before you start screwing with it. .45s change POI according to bullet weight, velocity, grips on the gun, shooter's grip ON the grips on the gun, temperature, altitude, barometric pressure, and phase of the moon.

Son bought an ATI 1911 in 45 with a 3.2 inch barrel. Won't it take different height sights than the govt model? Got him Hogue Lamo Camo grips for it - looks pretty sharp.
